MetaMask launches “buy crypto” feature with fiat currency
Following a series of significant improvements from the beginning of this year, MetaMask wallet has just launched a tool to “buy crypto” with fiat currency with a variety of payment methods, from credit cards, PayPal, banks to ACH.

According to the announcement, the new payment gateway supports over 189 different countries, with over 90 tokens available on 8 chains, including: Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche Contract Chain, Fantom, and Celo.
To use this feature, users simply click the “Buy” button in MetaMask. Then choose the country you are living in, payment method, chain and token you want to buy. Note that the payment method, the number of tokens allowed to buy will also depend on the user’s location.
Over the years, the leading wallet application has continuously announced partners to provide fiat payment services including: PayPal, MoonPay, Sardine, Banxa, Onramp.money, Mercuryo and Transak.
Recently, the MetaMask application has continuously launched new products and features, such as launching the staking market for institutions ahead of Shanghai, implementing the “separation of accounts” feature by portfolio, cooperates with banks to open payment gateways in fiat, most recently integrating the EIP-4361 technology solution, helping to decentralize the transaction validation step.
