iPhone 15 Pro Design Revealed By Apple Partner

Supplier Cirrus Logic, Apple’s partner, indirectly revealed the design of the iPhone 15 Pro in a notice sent to shareholders.

MacRumors recently said that supplier Cirrus Logic, one of Apple’s partners, has revealed that the iPhone 15 Pro will not have a force-sensitive power and volume button. Instead, still use physical buttons like previous generations.

In the notice sent to shareholders, supplier Cirrus Logic said it plans to provide HPMS products (High-Performance, Mixed-Signal – a component related to haptic vibrator for Taptic Engine on iPhone) – previously mentioned in the announcement and scheduled to be introduced this Fall – will no longer be released to the market as planned.

iPhone 15 Pro is said to have a volume button that is no different from the current generation

“As there are no specific product plans to discuss with customers at this time, we will remove revenue related to this component from our internal model”, Cirrus Logic’s announcement said.

Previously, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned in a newspaper, iPhone 15 Pro models will be equipped with two more Taptic Engines that provide haptic feedback when pressing the solid-state power and volume buttons. However, in a recent article, Mr. Kuo said that the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will still use traditional physical buttons instead of force-sensitive buttons as rumored. The reason is believed to be that Apple had unresolved technical problems before mass production.

In a notice to shareholders in November 2022, Cirrus Logic noted that it will provide the relevant components to a large customer. “We continue to work with a strategic customer and hope to bring the new HPMS component to market in smartphones next year”, Cirrus Logic said last year.

According to the announcement of Cirrus Logic recently, Apple’s next plan for this feature has not been revealed

The big customer that Cirrus Logic mentioned is said to be giant Apple. According to MacRumors, Apple is Cirrus Logic’s biggest customer, accounting for 79% of the company’s revenue in fiscal 2022.

In a notice sent to investors on May 4, analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley of Barclays also said that the iPhone 15 Pro will not be equipped with a pressure-sensitive button.

Although not equipped with a pressure-sensitive volume button, the iPhone 15 Pro is still expected to have an on/off switch for the ringer mode that is switched to a customizable button. Similar to the Action button on the Apple Watch Ultra released late last year.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 15 series at an event in September. In which two versions of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to have many improvements, including: Chip A17; titanium frame, faster USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, bigger RAM and periscope lens,…

With a series of major upgrades, Phone 15 Pro Max is expected to own a record-high starting price, specifically as follows: iPhone 15 Pro Max 128GB costs $ 1199; iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB for $1299; iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB costs $1499.
